About The Position

The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher instructs 4-year-old children according to each child’s needs and program requirements. The role supports children’s preparation for Kindergarten and beyond by providing daily care, implementing curriculum, and creating fun, interactive learning experiences. The Assistant Teacher follows licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements; develops skills in observing and assessing children, planning activities, and communicating with families; and completes training on child care, preschool, and child development.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or an active Preschool CDA.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate approach to the work.

Responsibilities

• Instruct 4-year-old children based on their individual needs and program requirements.
• Follow licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements to ensure daily care for each child in the classroom.
