The State Opioid Response (SOR) Specialist serves as the primary point of contact and liaison for the State Opioid Response (SOR) Program, supporting families involved in the child welfare system who are affected by opioid use disorders. The SOR Specialist provides family engagement, care coordination, referral management, and linkage to appropriate substance use treatment services while collaborating with multidisciplinary partners throughout the Brevard System of Care. This position is responsible for coordinating treatment services, facilitating collaborative planning, monitoring participant progress and program outcomes, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and program deliverables. The SOR Specialist works closely with community providers, child welfare professionals, court personnel, and behavioral health partners to promote positive outcomes for children and families. The position is accountable for accurate documentation, data management, outcome tracking, reporting requirements, confidentiality, and adherence to agency policies and State Opioid Response grant expectations.
