The Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) is an independent, mission-driven nonprofit that leverages data to drive price transparency, advance health equity, and improve health and health care for Coloradans. As the designated administrator of the Colorado All Payer Claims Database (CO APCD), we transform claims data into powerful insights that inform policy, foster accountability, and accelerate system-level improvement. We partner with communities, health systems, policymakers, and leaders across the state to advance affordability, equity, and outcomes – and we approach this work with analytical rigor, creativity, and a commitment to measurable impact. We envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to be healthy and can access affordable, high-quality care. Our core values – Service, Stewardship, Integrity, and Equity – guide every aspect of our work and reflect our dedication to empower people and organizations working to improve health and well-being across the state. The State Initiatives Project Manager works collaboratively across CIVHC’s teams and with external partners to develop project plans, track activities, and ensure accurate, complete, and timely fulfillment of Colorado state government projects. This position coordinates tasks involved in multiple competing projects and maintains open lines of communication between CIVHC analytics teams and the State of Colorado. The role works closely with the Data Solutions Department and the Public Reporting subject matter expert (SME) to provide input and guidance to develop new analytics and enhance existing reports. The State Initiatives Project Manager serves as the project lead, monitoring project progress and hours in CIVHC’s project planning tool, anticipating challenges and mitigating risks, delegating tasks, conducting and participating in regular internal and external project meetings, and ensuring projects are high-quality, accurate, timely, and actionable.
