About The Position

Viridian Staffing's Client is seeking a State Retail Director for the Ohio Market. This on-site position in the Columbus, Ohio area will oversee retail stores and launch new operations. The role involves staffing and managing new stores, recruiting and mentoring General Managers, and ensuring operational effectiveness and store performance. The Director will partner with the Executive Team to meet KPIs and metrics, focusing on compliance and a customer-centric environment. This position offers the opportunity to manage and develop teams passionate about cannabis and exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate is a results-driven retail management leader with experience in fast-paced retail environments, a passion for cannabis, and a proven ability to motivate, coach, train, and mentor staff.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building customer-obsessed retail teams focused on continuous improvement.
• At least 1+ year of experience managing Cannabis retail stores in the regulated Ohio Cannabis market.
• Deep knowledge of Ohio State Cannabis rules and regulations.
• Proven experience working closely with government representatives.
• Experience building out a store from the ground up.
• Proven experience growing sales in an established regulated Cannabis store.
• Servant leadership approach, willing to roll up sleeves and help where needed.
• Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities
