About The Position

Butterfly Effects is seeking a State Center Operations Director to support its Louisiana centers that provide treatment to young children affected by autism. The State Center Operations Director oversees all non-clinical operations across five Louisiana ABA centers: New Orleans, Metairie, Mandeville, Baton Rouge, and Marrero. This role partners with local clinical leadership, administrative staff, and national support teams to manage the operational aspects of the region, including facilities and vendor management, scheduling and utilization, resource planning, operational compliance, business workflows, and family experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, comfortable managing priorities across multiple locations, building relationships, and keeping teams focused on operational work that supports access, growth, and a high-quality experience for families and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or healthcare administration required
  • Five years of progressive operations leadership experience.
  • Two or more years of work experience in health care
  • Demonstrated success leading operational processes, building and expanding team operations, managing facilities, and overseeing vendors.
  • Strong client focus, professionalism, integrity, collaboration skills, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with budget creation, budget analysis, reporting, metrics, and operational decision-making.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work with a diverse workforce while balancing individual needs and business needs.
  • Ability to travel regularly among multiple center locations within Louisiana; reliable personal transportation is required.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and work in a professional office/center environment using standard office equipment.
  • Background check clearance required and subject to 5-year re-screening.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily non-clinical operations across all five Louisiana Centers, including New Orleans, Metairie, Mandeville, Baton Rouge, and Marrero.
  • Manage center performance to daily and monthly business metrics.
  • Maintain frequent daily interaction with Center Directors, State Directors, and the national office.
  • Work with the facilities team to ensure centers meet internal quality standards, repairs are quickly completed, and compliance with State and Local fire/business codes.
  • Supervise administrative and support team members, while indirectly supporting RBTs and BCBAs in partnership with the Louisiana Regional Director(s) and clinical leadership.
  • Serve as the HR liaison for Louisiana Centers by supporting policy adherence, employee relations issues, center communication, and consistent operational follow-through.
  • Partner with Regional Directors on successes, needs, issues, and action plans involving clinical team members and center operations.
  • Oversee scheduling of team members and families across Louisiana Centers to support utilization, access to care, engagement, and billable hours.
  • Manage center operations, including supplies, inventory, cleaning, facility scheduling, safety, appearance, vendors, and other operational issues at each location.
  • Use company systems to generate reports and provide key operating metrics to management across all Louisiana Centers.
  • Support monthly staff trainings across centers on policies and operational or HR-related topics.
  • Work with families in a positive and professional manner, helping ensure follow-through on commitments, engagement in the therapy process, and communication with team members.
  • Maintain awareness of local market compensation trends and share relevant insights with company leaders.
  • Contribute to BCBA recruiting and retention by ensuring concerns are heard and, when appropriate, the business case for operational change is explored.
  • Ensure team members assigned to administrative time are completing meaningful, appropriate, and productive work aligned with center needs.
