About The Position

The State Authorization Coordinator will initiate collaboration and consult with
various departments, faculty, staff, and administrators to gather data, reports,
documentation, and other information necessary for regulatory compliance, state
applications, renewals, reports, and authorizations.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Online Programs, the position directly
supports online programs and students through the management of compliance
related activities associated with state authorization. This includes applying
to and obtaining new state authorizations, as well as tracking and maintaining
existing exemptions and approvals. The position is tasked with meeting
regulatory requirements, adhering to compliance mandates, and communicating
compliance-related obligations, including the dissemination of disclosures to
students related to state authorization and clinical placements and professional
licensure.

The position interacts with faculty, staff, academic units, and other
departments across campus to provide consumer protection to prospective and
current students, in accordance with the National Council for State
Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) and associated federal
regulations; collects data and develops methods to display relevant and
necessary information on publicly viewable web sites; and leads institutional
efforts in helping students understand possible career outcomes for their chosen
degree, while also maintaining data about experiential field placements.
