Mid/Senior-Level State and Local Tax Associate
About The Position
Baker McKenzie's Tax Practice is seeking a Mid/Senior-Level Tax Associate for its State and Local Tax sub-practice group. The role will be based in the Chicago, Los Angeles, or New York office. The successful candidate will handle tax disputes with state and local revenue authorities and advise on multistate state and local tax matters. This position requires strong analytical and writing skills, exceptional speaking and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment. Top academic credentials are required, and an LLM in Taxation will be favorably considered. Applicants must be admitted to and in good standing with the bar of the state in which they are applying.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of relevant experience handling tax disputes with state and local revenue authorities and advising on multistate state and local tax matters.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Exceptional speaking and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function smoothly in a global-team environment with culturally diverse team members.
- Top academic credentials.
- Admitted to and in good standing of that state’s bar in which office you are applying to.
Nice To Haves
