About The Position
The Starter position involves counting and stacking finished product, reading factory orders, and accurately using gauges and other test equipment. This role requires basic shop math skills, including reading a tape measure, and the ability to accurately complete quality and administrative documents. The position also includes clean-up functions such as blowing down machines, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding scrap. Physical requirements include bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs., not exceeding 50 lbs.).
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read a standard tape measure
- Ability to add and subtract all units of measure, read, copy, count and record figures
- Ability to read factory orders
- Ability to stand, walk and reach at or below shoulder level with frequent twisting, bending and lifting from the ground; repetitive lifting
- Ability to work daily and Saturday overtime as business conditions require
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team

- Being punctual and ready to work for scheduled shifts
- Ability and desire to work safely and follow safety procedures, including the use of proper personal protective equipment as required
- Willingness to work 2nd shift
- Applicant must successfully complete pre-employment health assessment, drug screen, and background check
Responsibilities
