Assistant Starter
About The Position
As an Assistant Starter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe start of every race. Working directly with the Starter, you will be responsible for the careful handling and loading of horses into the starting gates, prioritizing the safety of both the animals and their jockeys. This position requires a strong understanding of horse behavior, quick reflexes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. NOTE: This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Please note that a positive drug test result, including for marijuana, may result in a job offer being rescinded for applicants or termination of employment for current employees, even if they possess a valid medical marijuana license.
