About The Position

To organize and direct the order of players at Bay Forest Golf Course. Receives immediate supervision from Golf Course Manager and Assistant Professional.

Requirements

• Adheres to City attendance and punctuality policies demonstrating dependability.
• Adheres to all City safety policies (protective equipment, pre-duty precautions checklist, etc.) to prevent unnecessary or unreasonable risk of injury to self, others, or property.
• Adheres to department dress code policies to present a professional appearance.
• Should exhibit appropriate grooming and attire for the position and responsibility.
• Mobility within a field environment.
• Exposure to toxic waste, chemical, dust/mites, and fume/odor hazards.
• Exposure to extreme cold, heat, noise, and temperature swings.
• Writing; walking; twisting body; stooping; standing; squatting; sorting; sitting; seeing; pushing and pulling up to 1200 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds; kneeling; reading; decision making; reaching above shoulder level; using both hands for simple and firm grasping; clarity of hearing; communicating clearly and effectively, in person and by telephone; fine finger manipulation.
• Operation of minor tools, and golf cart.
• Operation of a motor vehicle through city traffic.
• Knowledge of Golf Course etiquette and regulations.
• Work weekends, holiday, and weekdays.
• Two years of experience playing golf, familiarity with Golf Course etiquette and standard rules.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Possession of a valid Texas Drivers' License.

Responsibilities

• Receive and execute starting tee times.
• Make appropriate pairings.
• Enforce all rules and regulations of play.
• Clean up trash around facilities.
• Mark Golf Course to enforce play.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
