About The Position
The Starter position involves counting and stacking finished product, reading factory orders, and accurately using gauges and other test equipment. Basic shop math, including reading a tape measure, is required. The role also entails completing quality and administrative documents, following directions, and performing clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding scrap. The job requires bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs., not exceeding 50 lbs.).
Requirements

- Being punctual and ready to work for scheduled shifts
- Ability and desire to work safely and follow safety procedures, including the use of proper personal protective equipment as required
- Ability to read a standard tape measure
- Ability to add and subtract all units of measure, read, copy, count and record figures
- Ability to read factory orders
- Ability to stand, walk and reach at or below shoulder level with frequent twisting, bending and lifting from the ground; repetitive lifting
- Ability to work daily and Saturday overtime as business conditions require
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to work 2nd shift
- Applicant must successfully complete pre-employment health assessment, drug screen, and background check
