About The Position

The STARS Program Instructor will supervise and train consumers in daily living skills using instruction and hands-on demonstration to improve consumers’ skills for independent living. This role involves keeping accurate and timely daily records of each consumer’s progress toward their individual goals, maintaining the safety and security of consumers, activity areas, and supply inventory. The instructor will also work as a team member to ensure the S.T.A.R.S program runs efficiently and to the enhancement of all team members.

Requirements

Must meet MHMRTC credentialing requirements.
Good communication skills required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Mobility and light lifting required.
Must be able to drive Agency vehicle to transport S.T.A.R.S. participants.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and MVR.
Candidate must meet staff qualifications as outlined by MHMRTC.

supervisory skills and experience working with disabled or disadvantaged individuals.
