Starlink Installation Technician
About The Position
As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you will install and service Starlink, the high-speed satellite internet service connecting homes in rural and underserved communities. The role also involves helping customers get online and showing them how to make the most of their new service. The position offers a career path from Starlink Technician to Senior Technician and Master Technician, with each step bringing additional skills, responsibility, and earning potential. Technicians receive paid training and ongoing support as they advance. Training/base pay is $17.00 per hour, with a $0.50 base-rate increase after 60 days of employment. After training, the guaranteed hourly rate is $20.00 through the first nine months. If the post-training base rate plus bonuses and commissions does not reach the guaranteed rate, pay is increased to meet it. The role also offers commissions and performance bonuses.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 38 feet and work in crawl spaces.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Clear background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record.
Responsibilities
