About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Starburst DevOps/Admin for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution. This role involves end-to-end platform administration and support for a shared Starburst platform. The position requires installation, configuration, platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release management. The candidate will act as a Level 3 escalation point for issue resolution, environment tuning, and contributing to best practices.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Starburst software installation and configuration
Working knowledge of Openshift and Kubernetes
Proven troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
Ability to analyze and communicate root cause and resolution steps
Familiarity with Starburst software Best Practices
Working knowledge of the Starburst software security model and adaptability
Experience with SQL query tuning
Experience with connectivity configuration for Starburst
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Hadoop and Python

Nice To Haves

Experience with JDBC connectivity setup

Responsibilities

Perform installation and configuration of Starburst
Coordinate, plan, and execute activities related to platform maintenance, Disaster Recovery, and Software release management
Serve as L3 escalation for Platform Issue resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Handle configuration and tuning of production and lower-level environments
Perform Capacity & Stability monitoring and assist with Platform metrics collection and reporting
Contribute to the definition, review, documentation & communication of standards and Best Practices
