About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a DevOps / Platform Engineer for a hybrid position (Tuesday-Thursday onsite) with a Major Financial Services Firm. This is a contract opportunity. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support AI and data-driven applications. The focus is on DevOps, automation, and platform engineering practices to enable reliable model development, deployment, and operations across environments. The engineer will collaborate with application teams to streamline workflows and ensure secure, production-ready deployments.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or an equivalent role
  • Strong experience with DevOps practices (pipelines, source code management, artifacts, monitoring, security scans)
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines for applications, microservices, or AI/ML systems
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes / AKS
  • Strong scripting skills using Python
  • Experience implementing solutions in Azure
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and version control best practices

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for application, data, and AI/ML workloads
  • Build automated pipelines templates and standards (Gitlab CI/CD Catalog) for different stages in the pipeline such as model training, validation, packaging, and deployment
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform to provision Azure resources
  • Understand and implement DevOps best practices including automated testing, artifact management, release automation, and rollback strategies
  • Create reusable pipeline templates and platform components to standardize deployment patterns across teams
  • Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), including building pipelines and deployment automation
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
  • Ensure platform security, identity management, and compliance by integrating Azure RBAC, Key Vault, and policy controls into pipelines
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to optimize performance, reduce deployment time, and improve reliability
  • Support version control workflows and branching strategies using GitLab
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, infrastructure issues, and deployment challenges across cloud environments
  • Support and administer internal DevOps tools applications both hosted in AWS and SaaS
  • Leverage AI tools (Claude Code, Perplexity, ChatGPT, etc.) to design, orchestrate and implement various DevOps solutions
  • Help the team improve our internal infrastructure used to host DevOps applications such as Jira, Confluence, Nexus repository manager and more
