About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for a DevOps Platform Engineer to work remotely. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of concepts and principles in functional areas, along with general knowledge of system operations, policies, procedures, and technologies. The engineer will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills. They will effectively communicate with clients and other resources to update and maintain progress status, and provide input/status updates to senior leadership and executives during project design, build, and testing phases. The position involves applying best practices in incident response, including proactive monitoring, rapid triage, and effective communication during on-call rotations, ensuring incidents are managed efficiently to minimize impact and restore services quickly. The role also includes coordinating business requirements and scope, participating in cross-functional teams, leading efforts to diagnose and resolve complex production issues, and conducting thorough post-mortem analyses. Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering is crucial for building and maintaining robust systems, designing for reliability, scalability, and maintainability, and collaborating across teams to drive operational improvements. A strong understanding of security principles and their integration into operational processes is also required, ensuring compliance with security standards, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and fostering a culture of secure operations. The engineer will work under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain objectives, making decisions within established standards, and achieving assigned results based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience. Experience with Agile methodology following SAFe is required, and an on-call rotation will be necessary. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 6 to 9+ years of relevant work experience.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience with 6 to 9+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Position requires a broad understanding of various information technology disciplines and how they are combined to provide business value: UNIX and Windows Operating Systems Server Hardware, Firewalls, Network routing, Switches, Load Balancers Middleware, File Transfer and Messaging, and Database Cloud Technology Automation Technology

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating a proven track record of identifying repetitive manual tasks and implementing automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce operational burden, and improve productivity.
  • Applying best practices in incident response, including proactive monitoring, rapid triage, and effective communication during on-call rotations.
  • Ensuring that incidents are managed efficiently to minimize impact and restore services quickly.
  • Actively resolves and tracks the completion of events, changes, problems, incidents, and requests within appropriate process guidelines.
  • Coordinates business requirements and scope, and participates in cross-functional teams to ensure product adherence to business requirements.
  • Leading efforts to diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
  • Conducting thorough post-mortem analyses to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Leveraging experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering to build and maintain robust systems.
  • Designing for reliability, scalability, and maintainability, as well as collaborating across teams to drive operational improvements.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of security principles and integrating them into operational processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with security standards, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and fostering a culture of secure operations.
  • Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives.
  • Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards.
  • Achieving assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.
  • Experience w/ Agile methodology following SAFe.
