About The Position

The Starbucks Shift Supervisor leads shift operations, models exceptional customer service, and supports the store management team in creating a welcoming environment. This role oversees daily store operations, delegates tasks, maintains quality standards, and ensures brand guidelines and health/safety compliance are met throughout the shift.

Requirements

• 1+ years of customer service or retail experience required
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Obtain any required local food handler certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Prior supervisory or Starbucks barista experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to operational standards.
• Oversee store cash handling procedures, cash drawer counts, and safe deposits.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and track stock usage during shifts.
• Lead by example in delivering prompt, friendly service and handcrafted beverages according to Starbucks standards.
• Efficiently resolve customer issues and handle elevated inquiries with professionalism.
• Delegate tasks and deploy barista team members effectively to optimize store workflow and speed of service.
• Coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to baristas on beverage quality, customer connection, and operational standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across all work areas and equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and log temperature checks as required.
