About The Position

Create the Starbucks experience for Food City shoppers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Provide courteous customer service in support of the company mission, prepare customer orders promptly and to their satisfaction, and consistently serve beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products according to recipe and presentation standards. Promote the cultures, values, and missions of Food City and Starbucks through integrity, honesty, knowledge, and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Ability to interact regularly with individuals at various levels.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.

Nice To Haves

• Food service or coffee experience is a plus, but is not required.
• Ability or willingness to learn to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products and learn their ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service and maintain a positive, friendly attitude toward customers and associates.
• Take customer orders and ensure orders are completed promptly and to customers’ satisfaction.
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products; rotate items to maintain product quality and safety.
• Engage with customers by offering product information, using suggestive selling techniques, and sampling products.
• Process cash register transactions using the POS system.
• Prepare beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products consistently according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Operate tools and equipment in accordance with routine and safety procedures.
• Follow the company food safety program and food-handling procedures.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and comply with company time and attendance policies.
