About The Position

Create the Starbucks experience for Food City shoppers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and follow company time and attendance policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks and interact regularly with individuals at various levels.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.

Nice To Haves

• Food service or coffee experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability or willingness to learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
• Ability or willingness to learn the ingredients used in various products.
• Ability or willingness to work with Starbucks ingredients, including coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service in support of the company mission.
• Take customer orders and ensure they are completed promptly and to customers’ satisfaction.
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products, rotating items to maintain product quality and safety.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward customers and fellow associates.
• Engage with customers by offering product information, using suggestive selling techniques, and sampling products.
• Process cash register transactions using the POS system.
• Prepare quality beverages, whole-bean coffee, and food products consistently according to recipe and presentation standards.
• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the cultures, values, and missions of Food City and Starbucks.
• Operate tools and equipment according to routine and safety procedures.
• Follow the company food safety program and food-handling procedures.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
