About The Position

As a Starbucks Barista, you prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other menu items using established recipes and procedures, maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation. You help create a positive customer experience by greeting customers, taking orders, answering questions, and responding to requests. You keep work, service, and equipment areas clean, safe, stocked, and ready for use, and collaborate with team members to maintain smooth workflow, especially during busy periods. The role involves standing for extended periods, moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, and working in varying temperature environments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to provide friendly, timely, and helpful customer service and respond to customer requests and questions.
• Familiarity with preparing coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and related products using established methods.
• Ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple orders, and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Familiarity with safe food and beverage handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing service demands.
• Ability to safely operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment according to established guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and work in varying temperature environments.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
