Standardized Patients (male)

CA&MSan Antonio, TX

About The Position

CA&M, Inc. is now hiring Standardized Patients (SPs) in the San Antonio, Texas area. We are looking for men to serve as standardized patients for the US Army Physician's Assistant Training Program. We are looking for people who have also successfully served or are interested in working in a live medical simulation environment, working as a standardized patient. Standardized Patients serve a valuable role in the training of future medical professionals. Medical Students participate in live simulations to support their learning and are trained and be tested on those skills. It is important that the Medical Students learn these skills in a safe learning space so they can be comfortable performing these types of examinations when they begin their practice. Standardized patients support the development of the Medical Students, in a training space, where invasive and non-invasive physicals are conducted, and can provide direct feedback to the medical students with the support and observation of their professors and trainers. Standardized patients must be able to memorize anatomy, communicate in real time while a procedure is being conducted, provide direct feedback, maintain a hygienic & professional appearance, and have a supportive demeanor at all times. We are looking for males and females SPs between the ages of 21-65, that are in good health, STD free, and are comfortable having an intimate examination (e.g.: hernia, prostate) performed on them by Physician Assistant students.
