About The Position
The Stand up HiLo Driver provides customer support by ensuring accurate inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in shipping and inventory is paramount. The role is expected to reflect Mastronardi Produce’s PRIDE values: Passionate, Respectful, Innovative, Driven, and striving for Excellence. The position works in a refrigerated warehouse and requires operating a stand-up forklift and barcode scanner, maintaining inventory flow, and completing accurate tags and paperwork that support pallet-movement integrity and food-safety traceability. The employee must maintain clean and safe work areas, inspect and handle product as directed, and report quality or safety concerns to a supervisor. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, plus every other Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift license and related work experience.
- Valid driver’s license or valid state ID.
- Recent eye exam, within one year.
- Ability to use a scan gun and calculator.
- Basic arithmetic and counting skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities
- Move product within the warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.
- Handle and maintain the flow of inventory in the warehouse.
- Operate a barcode scanner.
- Perform basic tagging and paperwork accurately to ensure pallet-movement integrity and food-safety traceability.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
- Immediately report product quality issues to the supervisor.
- Select, load, inspect, and sort product according to supervisors’ instructions and guidance.
- Assist with general warehouse cleanup throughout the day.
- Report inventory racks, equipment, or other items that may pose a safety risk to employees in the area.
- Operate equipment safely and properly according to company requirements.
- Complete equipment checklists to verify equipment condition.
