About The Position

Alene Candles LLC & Midwest is a private label, contract manufacturer that produces high-quality candles for some of the world’s most recognized retail, boutique, and cosmetic brands. With our headquarters in New Hampshire and locations in Ohio, we’ve been in business for 30 years. This role is for the 2nd shift, which runs from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. There is also a peak incentive pay of an additional $2/hour from June through the end of November. A valid driver's license and stand-up forklift experience are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
• 1-4 years related experience
• Valid driver's license
• Experience using scan gun
• Inventory control experience
• Experience loading and unloading 53' box truck
• Good comprehension of English language both orally and written
• Must have stand up forklift experience

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of BIN transfers
• Ability to problem solve quickly and in the moment

Responsibilities

• Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal.
• Unload and store material in proper locations and perform receiving transactions.
• Use material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers, fork trucks and some powered packing equipment such as banders and shrink wrappers.
• Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems.
• Operate company box truck between company buildings.
• Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner.
• Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Count items and audit for package/ shipping damage.
• Maintain necessary records as required.
• Move material as necessary in performance of duties.
• Cycle count as scheduled.
• Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks.
• Maintain daily logs.
• Perform other duties as directed.
