About The Position

The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately and promptly putting away frozen products in an organized manner. The role includes consolidating similar items to make efficient use of freezer space, rotating products according to the First In, First Out method, and cleaning and counting an assigned aisle weekly. The operator may also perform other duties as assigned.

This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. until finish. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour. Warehouse employees must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals used to alert them to equipment movement, mechanical abnormalities, and other risks during warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to use a radio frequency handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (PIV).
• Ability to immediately perceive auditory warning signals used in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Put away all received frozen products.
• Consolidate like items to ensure the best use of freezer space.
• Rotate products using the First In, First Out method.
• Clean and count the assigned aisle weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Immediately perceive auditory warning signals, including bells, alarms, and horns, that indicate equipment movement, mechanical abnormalities, or other warehouse risks.
