About The Position

The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for putting away frozen products accurately, promptly, and in an organized manner. The role includes consolidating like items to make the best use of freezer space, rotating products according to the First In, First Out method, and cleaning and counting an assigned aisle weekly. The operator may also perform other duties as assigned. This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing until work is finished. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour. Warehouse employees must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals used to alert them to equipment movement, mechanical abnormalities, and other risks during warehouse operations.

Requirements

Verbal communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Ability to use a radio-frequency handheld computer.
Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (PIV).
Ability to immediately perceive auditory warning signals used in warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Put away all received frozen products accurately and in a timely, organized manner.
Consolidate like items to ensure the best use of freezer space.
Rotate products so they can be shipped using the First In, First Out method.
Clean and count the assigned aisle weekly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Immediately perceive auditory warning signals, including bells, alarms, and horns, that indicate equipment movement, mechanical abnormalities, or other warehouse risks.
