About The Position

Key Staffing is currently recruiting for a Stand-Up Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced food production and distribution environment. This position is responsible for safely operating a stand-up forklift to move, stage, load, unload, and organize products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and experienced operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of stand-up forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Previous experience in food manufacturing or cold storage is preferred.
Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order picking.
Ability to safely move, stack, and stage palletized products.
Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous stand-up forklift experience required.
Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, reaching, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in refrigerated or warehouse environments as needed.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug screening.
Must follow all company safety policies, food safety standards, and attendance expectations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a stand-up forklift to transport products, pallets, and materials throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload trailers while ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
Stage materials and finished products for shipping, receiving, and production.
Pull customer orders accurately according to pick lists and shipping documentation.
Scan, label, and verify inventory using warehouse management systems or RF scanners.
Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
Work closely with warehouse, production, and shipping teams to ensure timely movement of materials.
Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.
