This internship position in Chemical Engineering is based in WSP's Sherbrooke office. The intern will work alongside engineers and technicians from various disciplines, reporting directly to a Project Director. The role requires a presence in the office four days a week. A typical week involves preparing engineering documentation such as calculation notes, equipment specifications, budget estimates, reports, flow diagrams (PFD), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). The intern will also be involved in the design and optimization of manufacturing processes, including process simulations and related analysis and reporting. Responsibilities include interacting with equipment suppliers for budget estimates, coordinating the management and distribution of design inputs, tracking task progress and deliverables from each engineering discipline, and reporting potential delays. The intern will also assist in preparing weekly and monthly project management reports, coordinate the presentation of deliverables from all engineering disciplines, and support the Project Director with other related tasks for project completion.
