About The Position

Responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling and operation of stage equipment during event production.

Requirements

  • General knowledge and experience in proper handling of all components of theatrical and entertainment tools, equipment, and systems.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or occasionally more with assistance.
  • Must be able to use a two-way radio.
  • The position is a referent of ITASE Local 158 union and is subject to pay referral fee and dues directed by the ITASE Local 158 and the work referral system in effect.

Responsibilities

  • Set up lighting, props, and microphones.
  • Assist during Load-In, Show, and Load-Out Calls for the assembly and disassembly of show productions.
  • Load and unload Trucks
  • Assemble production equipment on stage.
  • Construction of set pieces, risers, musical equipment
  • Spotlight operation during shows for qualified personnel
  • Assist with video, sound, and light production before, during and after shows for qualified personnel.
  • Move furniture, road cases, miscellaneous equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all equipment, from both venue and events.
  • Be punctual at start times/dates for all assigned and accepted calls; and work until the completion of each call.
  • Stand ready to assist the venue Production and Operations departments to meet changing venue needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Report to the Union Steward upon arrival to work for an event.
