The Stagehand II plays a key operational and leadership role within the Events Services Division, supporting the successful execution of event production activities across the facility. This position ensures smooth event operations by coordinating technical setup, equipment maintenance, and backstage workflows while providing guidance to Stagehand I staff. The Stagehand II helps uphold safety standards, production quality, and client service expectations through consistent communication with supervisors and event stakeholders. Additionally, the role supports efficient load-ins and load-outs and maintains readiness of all production spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate is an experienced technical events professional who thrives in fast-paced production environments and demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills. They will be knowledgeable in theatrical equipment, event operations, and safety protocols, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards are essential. Under general direction to perform technical work which involves the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of stage equipment for a variety of theatrical events. Incumbents of positions in this class prepare and set up the theater for a variety of professional theatrical productions and operate stage equipment during performances. A Stagehand II is distinguished from a Stagehand I in that the former has responsibility for planning and assigning work and acts as a lead worker in the performance of duties.
