The specialist collaborates with nursing unit personnel and supervisors to evaluate staffing numbers and skill mix every four hours, determining appropriate personnel reassignments and communicating these plans. The role also includes indicating absences, recording on daily work sheets, entering into the time record system, maintaining critical contact information for employees, ensuring accurate data entry of patient acuity levels, maintaining records of float pool activity, and tracking patient companions. The work is typically performed in an office environment, and the employee is accountable for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with organization policies and procedures.
