Our talented team of leading professionals cares for patients from birth through the end of life. This role reviews and assists with daily clinical staffing to ensure adequate staffing and to resolve or prevent shortages.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year secretarial experience.
  • Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
  • Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
  • Ability to prioritize daily work and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient skills in Windows-based software required in order to perform a multitude of job duties.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures, including public contact techniques, supervisory practices and record management.
  • Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
  • Requires the ability to independently take the appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances or problems.
  • Work requires considerable accuracy and responsibility.
  • Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and organize, exercise discretion and independent judgment, explain and apply polices, communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintains working relationships with clients, customers and departments.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with maintaining scheduling system and/or manual records of staffing assignments and changes.
  • Works collaboratively with clinical unit leadership to facilitate staffing changes to minimize negative financial impact.
  • May be required to make staffing changes within the staffing/scheduling system.
  • Assists with data collection for reporting on financial indicators and staffing related data.
  • Serves as a resource to staff for questions related to clinical schedules.
  • Provides clerical and payroll support to the Nurse Managers.
  • Ability to oversee operations of Nursing Office.
  • Ensures safe staffing following guidelines; matrix and bed board.
  • Other Duties as assigned
