About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Staffing Coordinator to support daily hospital operations by coordinating staffing assignments across multiple units. This role plays a critical part in ensuring appropriate coverage, supporting patient care needs, and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years administrative experience required
  • Proficiency with office procedures and equipment i.e. filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
  • Ability to use phone system.
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily staffing assignments for Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) and resource staff across hospital units
  • Manage incoming staffing requests and prioritize needs based on clinical urgency and patient care requirements
  • Deploy patient observers and additional support staff as needed
  • Communicate staffing assignments clearly and confidently to both employees and unit leadership
  • Perform operational and administrative tasks within UKG and other workforce management systems
  • Performs other duties as assigned
