Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of experience in healthcare staffing coordination preferred
Prior experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care or medical facility preferred)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite
A dedicated, compassionate mindset that prioritizes quality resident care

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree preferred
Prior experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care or medical facility preferred)

Responsibilities

Manage Nursing Staff Schedules – Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for nurses and CNAs.
Ensure Adequate Coverage – Work closely with the Director of Nursing to secure coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, and leave requests.
Daily Staffing Reports – Complete daily staffing sheets and track nursing hours to meet PPD (Per Patient Day) requirements while maintaining compliance logs.
Monitor and Verify Employee Attendance – Review and correct time clock punches, verify hours worked, and identify staffing trends.
Collaborate with Admissions Team – Stay updated on census changes, new admissions, and discharges to adjust staffing accordingly.
Data & Compliance Reporting – Prepare and submit daily nursing hours reports to the Executive Director/LNHA.
Enhance Operational Efficiency – Implement new staffing strategies and processes to improve patient care and employee satisfaction.
