Responsibilities

Monitoring and adjusting patient care units' schedules and staffing in the computer system.
Contacting per diem staff and agencies to cover vacations and sick time.
Assigning staff from the float pool and floating staff to different units to ensure safe staffing levels.
Performing other clerical duties to meet staffing needs.
Entering staff in computerized staffing system.
Calling in nursing staff when additional staffing is needed.
Reviewing reports and calling off nursing staff when over-scheduled.
Obtaining copies of certifications, and other documents as necessary for registry and contract staff.
Monitoring per-diem and contract employees sign-in sheets for accuracy and completion.
Tracking/maintaining/processing all reverse billing for registry/contract staff.
Establishing effective working relationships with cross-functional team(s).
