About The Position
Responsible for coordination and documentation of staffing across Nursing Departments. Works to ensure that the appropriate numbers and skill mixes are assigned to each nursing unit to meet patient care needs by target staffing plans and specialized needs as directed by Support Services Director, Nurse Managers and/or Nursing Supervisor. Works in a fast paced, high stress environment.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous staffing experience and/or knowledge of healthcare environment required
- Beginning knowledge of PC's and Windows required
Responsibilities
- Coordination and documentation of staffing across Nursing Departments.
- Ensuring appropriate numbers and skill mixes are assigned to each nursing unit to meet patient care needs.
- Meeting target staffing plans and specialized needs as directed by Support Services Director, Nurse Managers and/or Nursing Supervisor.
- Performing duties and conducting interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
- Working with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment.
- Ensuring that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.
- Answering telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Displaying concern and providing assistance or explaining procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations.
- Meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Working with customers to identify problems.
