We do not believe in a one-size fits all solution; we tailor our care plans to each individual client’s needs. Homewatch CareGivers of Woodbridge is seeking a Manager of Staffing and Development. This position requires compassion and an interest in making a difference in the lives of our clients. In order to succeed in this role, the candidate must possess a can-do attitude, be able to multi-task, and must collaborate effectively with their peers. The Manager of Staffing and Development is responsible for the delivery of outstanding home care services by serving as primary point of contact for Caregivers. Primary duties include coordinating and monitoring schedules, filling open shifts, and training and developing Caregivers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline, OR, if no degree, 3 years of consultative customer service experience.
  • Previous scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Caregivers, establishing rapport and building relationships
  • Schedule and coordinate assigned case load in an efficient, effective, and timely manner, while ensuring outstanding Caregiver and client satisfaction
  • Handle callouts or emergency schedule changes with little or no advanced notice, identify available Caregivers and notify team of changes
  • Manage Caregiver PTO and ensure all shifts are covered
  • Play an active role in weekly roster meetings providing insight about clients and Caregivers
  • Be available for On-Call rotation (approximately once a month)
  • Update clients to changes in the schedule
  • Complete weekly virtual visits to Total Care Solutions clients
  • Create and maintain client files
  • Fill in as a Home Health Aide when available (CHHA license required)
  • Weekly review and approval of Caregiver timesheets
  • Weekly field visits to monitor Caregivers
  • Document and deliver disciplinary action to Caregivers
  • Manage Caregiver clock in/out compliance
  • Manage the Caregiver Registry
  • Maintain Caregiver Files (new hires and on-going)
  • Take the lead in obtaining feedback, documenting and delivering annual Caregiver performance reviews
  • Mentor new caregivers, conduct field visits to help develop skills
  • Play an active role in the interviewing of Caregivers
  • Facilitate orientation and skills training
  • Collect the onboarding documents, run background checks and create new hire file
  • Build relationships with local schools to help recruit Caregivers
  • Upon hire, lead caregiver skills evaluation
