About The Position

This individual leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of the developing our next generation cellular modems in the following technologies: GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, WiFi and 5G. Defines, implements and unit-tests various tiers of Hardware models for the Wireless Modem Hardware Data-Paths and Control Plane using advanced modeling techniques. Develops Models that include behavioral, architectural, performance and cycle-accurate models. Designs the Models in terms of what is modeled vs. whats not modeled. Creates detailed Model design specifications for partitioning between blocks, sub-blocks and interfaces. Works with cross-functional teams including Hardware RTL Design team, Hardware DV team, Systems Technology team and Firmware team to define Model APIs to allow them to be integrated into various Platforms where the Models serve as HW DV golden reference, System Performance Validation reference and FW Virtual Prototyping platform. Performs automation using scripting (e.g., Python, Perl, or Shell) to streamline model development, testing, and integration of workflows. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field
  • Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.
