About The Position

The Staff Wellbeing Ambassador will serve as a key representative of well-being throughout the organization and support the delivery of well-being programs, events, and services for employees and trainees at the Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine. Under the guidance of OSUWMC Gabbe Well-Being Office Leadership, the Staff Wellbeing Ambassador visits medical center units and Central Ohio ambulatory sites with the Wellness Cart to provide employees and trainees information on current OSUWMC wellness programs and resources, both proactively and upon request. They will participate in informal discussions and foster positive relationships with employees and trainees, utilizing interpersonal skills to offer emotional support and address both achievements and challenges encountered in the workplace. Relevant themes identified from these conversations will be compiled and communicated to the Gabbe Well-Being Office Leadership team to facilitate resource allocation and program enhancement. Additionally, they will provide some administrative assistance for the Mindfulness in Motion Program, complete training to serve as a peer supporter, represent the organization at wellness fairs, and deliver presentations as needed to disseminate well-being resources. While this is primarily a 1st shift position, the person in this role will on rare occasions round in the evenings to serve 2nd and 3rd shift employees as well.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Allied Medicine, Health Education, Public Health or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities
