Staff TPM - Datacenter Delivery

Cerebras Systems•Sunnyvale, CA

About The Position

The Staff TPM is the single-threaded owner for end-to-end data center capacity delivery, from forecasting and site strategy through design, construction, infrastructure readiness, and go-live. The role serves as the single source of truth for delivery milestones, risks, and capacity outcomes, coordinating execution across internal teams and external partners in a high-ambiguity, fast-moving environment with critical business stakes. The position delivers AI-optimized data center capacity across colocation, build-to-suit, retrofit, and owned facilities, including megawatt-scale infrastructure aligned with AI system deployment targets. It turns high-level demand signals into executable programs and integrates plans across real estate, power and energy, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, deployment, networking, security, compliance, and operations readiness. The role also manages program risks, budgets, capital expenditure forecasts, and executive communications; aligns capacity plans with model demand, power availability, network topology, and hardware rollout schedules; and improves delivery through standardized processes, program tools, dashboards, post-mortems, and scalable mechanisms for global expansion. The position is based in the US, with the San Francisco Bay Area preferred; remote work with travel is also indicated. Travel may be up to 50%.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center operations.
  • Experience managing multi-site, vendor-heavy environments.
  • Strong expertise in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proven track record in improving uptime and performance.
  • Ability to operate in high-growth, ambiguous environments with limited structure.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority.
  • Clear, structured communication skills and ability to turn ambiguity into executable plans.
  • Bias for action and a track record of delivering results under pressure.
  • Ability to balance urgency with rigor and move quickly without compromising systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at hyperscalers such as Google, Meta, or Microsoft, or at neo-cloud or AI infrastructure companies such as CoreWeave or Lambda.
  • Familiarity with high-density AI workloads, including liquid cooling, racks over 30 kW, and GPU clusters.
  • Experience with utility engagement and power delivery constraints.
  • Experience with long-lead supply chain planning for transformers, switchgear, and chillers.
  • Experience with commissioning and data center handover processes.
  • Comfort operating at the intersection of hardware, real estate, and software scaling demands.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI-optimized data center capacity, from pre-contract planning through operational readiness, across colocation, build-to-suit, retrofit, and owned facilities.
  • Deliver megawatt-scale infrastructure aligned with AI system deployment targets.
  • Translate high-level demand signals into executable delivery programs.
  • Structure complex programs into workstreams with clear owners, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Build integrated plans spanning real estate, power and energy, design, procurement, construction, and deployment.
  • Establish critical-path visibility and manage schedule compression.
  • Coordinate execution across real estate and site selection; power and energy strategy; data center design; supply chain and procurement; construction and commissioning; infrastructure deployment; networking; and security, compliance, and operations readiness.
  • Serve as the primary interface with colocation providers, EPCs, utilities, and key vendors.
  • Identify and resolve risks, constraints, and blockers involving power, equipment, permitting, and supply chain.
  • Maintain program budgets, CapEx forecasts, and capital allocation narratives.
  • Provide structured updates and escalation paths to executive leadership.
  • Work with capacity planning, AI infrastructure, and finance teams to translate model demand into site-level capacity strategies.
  • Align build plans with power availability, network topology, and hardware rollout schedules.
  • Optimize time-to-capacity and cost per MW or GPU deployed.
  • Standardize build and commissioning processes, implement program tooling and dashboards, and run post-mortems and lessons-learned loops.
  • Establish scalable delivery mechanisms to support rapid global expansion.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for program health, milestones, and risks, and deliver concise, high-signal executive updates.
  • Operate across distributed teams and travel up to 50%.

Benefits

  • Job stability with startup vitality.
  • A non-corporate work culture that respects individual beliefs.
