About The Position

This role will be within the R&T department as part of the Engineering organization conducting research and development of primarily but not limited to Composite technologies based in Riverside, CA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands on, industry experience in the field of composite manufacturing, ideally with a strong focus on composite Aerostructures.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize manufacturing process experience to provide technical support and executing prototype and demonstrator builds.
  • Working closely with Engineers and Engineering Technicians, supporting daily process development.
  • Support the development of technologies in adherence with TRL and MRL toll gates.
  • Interacting between Engineering groups (Programs, Chief Engineer Office, Aftermarket, manufacturing/operations, facilities, supply chain, test labs, suppliers and customers); ensuring on-time and quality execution of materials & process project tasks and deliverables.
  • Ensures adherence to all compliance requirements (TRL, MRL, EHS, CMS, QMS, PPAP etc.).
  • Engages in problem solving initiatives & challenges status quo (e.g. root cause and corrective action investigations, OEE, FPY, customer escapes).
  • Participates in process improvement and continuous improvement activities.
  • Implements results of lean manufacturing initiatives.
