About The Position

Google is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multidisciplinary CPU and CPU-SoC programs from planning through commercial launch. The role involves coordinating technical teams and stakeholders, managing requirements, risks, schedules, and issues, and communicating analyses, recommendations, and technical tradeoffs to executives and engineering partners. The team combines AI, software, and hardware to develop technologies intended to make computing faster, seamless, and more powerful.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 8 years of experience in program management.
Experience with processor micro-architecture, processor design flows, and emulation technologies.
Experience leading silicon development programs involving ASIC, CPU, GPU, or FPGA technologies.

Nice To Haves

15 years of experience with CPU, CPU-subsystem, or SoC engineering, or CPU program management.
Experience with modern processor micro-architecture, processor design flows, and emulation technologies.
Familiarity with the effects of power and thermal constraints.
Familiarity with industry-standard CPU benchmarks.
Knowledge of up-to-date ARM instruction set architecture.
Knowledge of ASIC flows.

Responsibilities

Drive or manage CPU-SoC integration programs to support timely, high-quality pre-silicon and post-silicon execution through commercial launch.
Lead project-level discussions across disciplines and coordinate architecture, design, design verification, emulation, and physical design teams.
Ensure programs are executed to achieve the best possible quality and schedule.
Host project-level issue triage and resolution meetings; create and track issues through satisfactory closure.
Coordinate regular communications across organizational levels and geographic locations to support smooth program operations.
