Requirements

College degree required. Major in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Organized, detail-oriented, with strong data management skills, particularly Excel.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly excise and miscellaneous indirect tax filings to include: Wholesaler beverage taxes, Importer beverage taxes, Sales & use taxes.
Run reports and compile information for indirect tax filings that are outsourced.
Submit tax filings timely and make required payments online.
Review municipal tax filings and monthly payments.
Assist Tax Manager with unclaimed property research and reporting.
Work with state revenue auditors, when required, to provide requested audit documentation for excise tax filings.
Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
Prepares ad hoc reports to provide requested information to internal and external customers.
Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to manager.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
