About The Position

As a Staff Software Engineer at GE Vernova, you will build cloud-based digital tools that connect engineering systems, speed up customer proposals, and help move wind turbines from design to reality. You will work with a collaborative global team to develop and improve engineering applications and contribute to the digital roadmap. The role is based onsite in Greenville, South Carolina, Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
At least 5 years of programming experience, or equivalent.
At least 2 years of software development experience in Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
Experience working with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work onsite in Greenville, South Carolina, Monday through Thursday.

Nice To Haves

Java or Kotlin web application development.
Experience with Angular, Spring Boot, and microservices.
Cloud computing experience, especially with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Wind turbine design domain experience.
Experience with engineering simulation workflows.
Experience guiding change in an inclusive way.

Responsibilities

Design, code, test, and document full-stack web applications across the software lifecycle.
Partner with Product Owners and engineering and digital teams to shape the roadmap for the engineering tool suite.
Improve aeroelastic modeling and design flow processes in wind turbine engineering tools.
Evaluate and add digital technologies to improve internal applications and development efficiency.
Work with a global team and train users on the tools you build.
Coach and mentor teammates in areas of expertise.
