About The Position

Works with product teams, analysts, and other engineers to design systems and application software, and mentors junior members of the team. The role provides technical leadership across requirements analysis, software architecture and design, development, testing, DevOps, software reliability and support, technical project management, and research and innovation. It includes leading feature and multiple-module design, recommending open-source technologies, guiding coding and deployment practices, and coordinating with technical project managers and product management teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand, read, and review requirements; work with Business Analysts to understand business requirements.
• Participate in the architectural review process.
• Lead the design of features and multiple modules and provide technical leadership to the team.
• Evaluate and recommend adoption of open-source technologies.
• Develop scripts and code for features and multiple modules; participate in peer reviews and follow standard coding processes.
• Develop unit tests, fix defects, develop test strategies, and recommend testing frameworks.
• Define deployment and release guidelines; plan environments and cross-functional dependencies; document software configuration management practices and educate stakeholders on relevant processes and tools.
• Maintain an inventory of production applications, flows, and systems across software engineering verticals; help prepare application support documentation; troubleshoot basic application issues using knowledgebase documents.
• Provide level-of-effort estimates; work with technical project managers and product management teams to define schedules; provide status reports and release-management progress updates.
• Investigate, analyze, and evaluate new technologies.
• Mentor junior team members.
