About The Position

The Staff Software Engineer will provide hands-on technical leadership for life-critical embedded software used in anesthesia delivery systems and related vaporizer technologies. The role calls for balanced experience with RTOS-based software and Embedded Linux in distributed systems spanning multiple processors, communications, hardware control, and FPGA-based functions. The engineer will lead complex subsystem work, make system-level design decisions, mentor other engineers, and help preserve product and architecture knowledge. FPGA logic or HDL development is not required, but the engineer must be able to work with FPGA and hardware engineers to drive the architecture and understand how software and FPGA-based control fit together. The role also offers an opportunity to become a system-level expert in distributed embedded systems and anesthesia and ventilation delivery. The position collaborates with systems, controls, hardware, quality, clinical, cybersecurity, and global software teams. GE HealthCare describes its culture as fostering care, collaboration, and support, and offers professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. Relocation assistance is provided. GE HealthCare will not sponsor employment visas for this opening; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Any offer is conditioned on successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable.

Requirements
