About The Position

FlowGen Labs is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to define architecture and standards and deliver solutions end to end. The role leads development across Node.js services, AI and agent workflows, and integrations with enterprise systems, with ownership of quality and reliability. The work directly affects how agents reason, take actions, and deliver outcomes at scale. FlowGen Labs builds context-aware enterprise AI agents that operate inside customized SAP environments, using company ontologies, live operational data, and operating procedures to autonomously run complex workflows. Its product aims to turn legacy ERP systems into execution layers for finance and operations. The company serves Fortune 500 customers across CPG, distribution, high-tech, and oil and gas.

Requirements

Strong experience building distributed systems or backend platforms in production environments.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CDK.
Strong observability experience with metrics, tracing, logs, and SLOs.
Proficiency with Postgres.
Experience with vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Milvus for retrieval and semantic search.
Experience orchestrating agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation.
Hands-on use of AI tools, with clear ideas for applying AI to development, testing, data, and support.
Ownership mentality and crisp communication.
Comfort making decisions with 80 percent of the information.
Ability to move quickly without breaking things and willingness to learn new stacks.
