About The Position

The Staff Software Engineer will join ServiceNow’s Release & Instance Management team within the Digital Technology department. The team works with application developers, product owners, internal users and employees, and other stakeholders to manage a large landscape of platforms using AI and automated workflows. The role focuses on building automation and AI capabilities for platform administration, platform inventory, release planning, and continuous improvement of deployment processes across ServiceNow and other platforms. It includes improving and scaling release and instance management processes, and evaluating and implementing ServiceNow products such as Digital Product Release where needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
At least 5 years of IT industry experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to multitask and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Strong understanding of technology platforms, particularly web applications and SaaS platforms.
ServiceNow platform administration or development experience.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with or experience using SAP platforms.

Responsibilities

Use AI, ServiceNow platform workflows, and automation to standardize, streamline, and automate processes.
Build tools to manage the complete lifecycle of production and sub-production environments.
Review processes, identify improvement, streamlining, and standardization opportunities, and implement them.
Help plan and support platform upgrades, including troubleshooting technical product issues.
Develop and share best practices based on lessons learned.
Participate in activities outside core hours and on weekends when required, including participating in on-call activities.
