•$207,000 - $300,000

About The Position

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures Google Cloud services—both internally critical and externally visible—have reliability and uptime appropriate to customer needs, while enabling a fast rate of improvement. SRE also monitors system capacity and performance. Much of the software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and eliminating work through automation. In this role, you will manage complex challenges of scale unique to Google Cloud, applying expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design. The organization values intellectual curiosity, problem solving, openness, collaboration, self-direction, and a blame-free environment, while providing support and mentorship. You will architect resilient, automated production environments that meet stringent service level objectives and lead the team through pressing challenges, including scaling architecture across the portfolio to accommodate growing infrastructure demands, supporting business and compliance needs across product areas, and adapting operational models to accelerated product development cycles. The Technical Infrastructure team builds and maintains the architecture that keeps Google's products running, including data centers and Google platforms, and operates networks to provide users with a fast, reliable experience.
