  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience building, shipping, and operating 3D Computer Vision or 3D Machine Learning systems in production.
  • Technical depth across core 3D perception domains, including SfM, MVS, SLAM, mesh texturing, and depth estimation.
  • Proven experience with agentic development and modern AI coding tools.
  • Experience setting technical direction and mentoring engineers, and a strong interest in expanding into people management.
  • Proficiency in C++ for performance-critical execution.
  • Fluency in modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Background as a Senior or Lead Computer Vision Engineer specializing in 3D reconstruction or photogrammetry.
  • Background as a Spatial Computing or AR/VR Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Background as a Geospatial Software Engineer or Aerial Imagery Pipeline Developer.
  • Background as a Robotics or SLAM Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and deployment of the production photogrammetry pipeline, including feature detection, structure from motion, multi-view stereo, and mesh reconstruction.
  • Drive integration and evaluation of emerging 3D reconstruction approaches, including Gaussian splatting and foundation 3D models such as MASt3R and VGGT.
  • Optimize 3D systems for speed, accuracy, and robustness across high-volume customer workloads.
  • Select effective approaches for business challenges by balancing classical 3D computer vision and learned methods.
  • Own technical investigations end-to-end, from initial triage through production rollout and ongoing maintenance.
  • Set technical standards for photogrammetry through code reviews, architectural guidance, and production observability standards, including metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Mentor engineers and prepare to directly manage 1–2 engineers as the sub-team expands.
  • Integrate advanced AI coding workflows, such as Cursor and Claude Code, into the development lifecycle, defining reusable skills, prompts, and playbooks.
