Staff Software Engineer, Growth

Palmetto Clean Technology•Charlotte, NC

About The Position

Palmetto is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Growth area, which builds the ways homeowners discover and choose Palmetto. The role owns technical direction for digital acquisition experiences, a multi-product front door, and the funnel that converts interested leads into qualified appointments. This is a high-leverage individual-contributor position that combines architecture ownership, foundational coding, and support for other engineers. The engineer will design and build APIs, services, and web experiences using TypeScript and Node.js; resolve cross-team architecture questions; and work closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams. Instrumentation and experimentation are expected to inform product decisions, while strong testing, CI/CD, and production reliability practices support quality. AI tools are part of Palmetto’s development process, and the role will help teams use them responsibly. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, and reports to the Senior Manager, Engineering. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
